Project Description

The RQAS is Queensland’s oldest art society, and this catalogue serves as the keystone publication for its 2026 Fellows Exhibition.

The catalogue is designed to function as more than a record of the exhibition. It positions the publication as a broader proposition for RQAS, communicating the society’s longevity, its ongoing commitment to contemporary visual arts, the diversity of practices represented by its Fellows, and its relevance within Queensland’s wider arts community.

The catalogue is conceived as a special and considered object, something that is worth picking up, keeping and passing on. Its visual language balances the history and heritage of RQAS with a contemporary sensibility, creating a publication that feels fresh and novel without appearing overly modern or disconnected from the society’s established identity.
