Leaving behind… poster: three children in the colours of the Salvadoran flag run towards Tazumal Temple at sunrise, past an abandoned rifle

About

the project

Leaving behind… is a poster about El Salvador’s path to recovery from the troubles of its past. I built and rendered the scene in 3D: children dressed in the colours of the Salvadoran flag run towards Tazumal, one of the country’s oldest pre-Columbian sites, as the sun rises behind it, while a rifle from the civil war lies abandoned in the dirt.

The civil war left deep scars on El Salvador: tens of thousands of lives lost and a generation forced from their homes. The poster looks past that history, towards hope and a new beginning.
